Siri: Your PA in your pocket.

In addition to Apple’s announcement of the new iPhone, the big feature which has been getting all the attention is the Personal Assistant feature called Siri.

It has been designed to listen to everyday sentences you might say to a real PA, and then it recognises what you’ve said, and talks back to you.

Now you can use your voice to use your iPhone. Just talk to Siri as you would to a person: “Remind me to call mum when I get home” or “Do I need an umbrella?” Siri not only understands what you say, it knows what you mean. It figures out the right apps to use to find the right answer. Then, just like a personal assistant, it answers you. Siri makes phone calls, sends messages, schedules meetings, sets reminders and more. How much more? Just ask, and Siri tells you that too.

A great video demonstration (below) to explain what we mean really helps to understand what huge benefits you might be able to get out of Siri
